Our Mission

Verto exists to eliminate the language barrier in everyday document workflows. We believe that accessing information in your own language shouldn't require expensive translators, clunky software, or hours of manual formatting. It should take seconds.

The Problem We Saw

Every day, millions of professionals — lawyers, researchers, travelers, healthcare workers — encounter documents in languages they can't read. Existing tools either destroy the original formatting, produce inaccurate translations, or require uploading sensitive documents to unknown servers. We knew there had to be a better way.

What We Built

Verto combines state-of-the-art vision language models with a mobile-first scanning experience. Point your camera at any document — a contract, a menu, a research paper, a street sign — and get an accurate, context-aware translation that preserves the original layout, fonts, and formatting. It works in 100+ languages, with offline support for 30+.

Our Team

We're a small, focused team of engineers and researchers based in San Francisco and Seoul. Our backgrounds span machine learning, computational linguistics, mobile engineering, and product design. We've previously built products at companies including Google, Apple, and Naver.

Our Values

• Privacy by default. Documents are processed on-device whenever possible. Cloud processing is end-to-end encrypted and immediately deleted.
• Accuracy over speed.We'd rather take an extra second to get the translation right than give you a fast, wrong answer.
• Accessible to everyone. Our free tier is genuinely useful — not a crippled demo. Language access is a right, not a luxury.
